Day 2 - Florence Architecture Tour, Sustainable Food Lecture and ... Gelato Making!!

We had a fantastic day in Florence today.

Started with a 2-hour tour by an art historian from Lorenzo de Medici University.  There pretty much isn't a single photo you can take in Florence without getting some amazing piece of arcitecture and art.  We talked through the engineering wonder of the Duomo and many other stories of this amazing place.

After lunch and some embassy work we had a great lecture and discussion about the sustainability of the Italy food system from another LdM faculty member.  We ended with a sneek peek into the kitchen of a lovely gelato-making shop and a tasting!!  Amazing stuff.

Looking forward to leaving the city central tomorrow for a bike tour in Tuscany.  Thanks for following our journey.
